Yes, you can pursue B.Tech IT. You need to prepare well for entrance examinations to get into IITs. Self study or coaching class will be suitable. Since, you are going to change the field, your interest and knowledge in Electrical engineering is important.

It depends on the field you are going to choose. As an MBA student, you will be getting between 6-12LPA. If you want to get into IT, It will be 4- 8LPA on an average.

Choose the board which is nearby you. If you have both, then go with ICSE. If you choose CBSE, join him in coaching class. It will make him more competitive.
