Yes, you can get a college via JEE counseling. But you may or may not get a top college or the course you wish to get. It is difficult to say your rank as it depends on the number of candidates and their scores.

Even you have left an year after 12th, you can appear for JEE main and advanced exams. You will meet the eligibility to appear for the same.

To get IITs, you need to clear JEE Mains as well as JEE Advanced with a good score. You can post your question without any hesitation so that you can get your doubts cleared.

Hello Vivek,
For undergraduate engineering courses, you need to clear JEE Mains and advanced exams with a good score. Based on the JEE Advanced ranks, you can get admission at IITs. For post graduate courses, you need to clear GATE.

Admission into NIT does not depend only on your JEE score. They also take your 12 grade percentage and many more. 80 is not that good a score but you might have a chance if your other scores are high.

It's tough to get an NIT with just 49 marks. Well, keeping the difficulty of JEE 2018 in mind, maybe, you can make it into an NIT but branch may not be good.
