Hello Ashutosh ,
I take that you will be appearing in 12th boards with PCM. Now in case you have not taken any coaching for JEE, I recommend you to enroll into one. Next thing to do , is understand each and every concept to the depth and practising as much as you can. Solve previous year papers in a time bound manner. Understand each question you got wrong. Try to score maximum in each mock test you take. Perseverance along with brilliance will take you very far.
With self study, it will be difficult. So, it is better to join a good coaching centre and you also need to work really hard if you are in 12th and a planned work if you are in

Complete NCERT more than twice and be thorough with the concepts. Once you are done with this then complete the solved problems, go for Arihant's text series, buy them as this will help you a lot.
Good luck.

BSc ( of 3 years duration) graduates are not eligible to appear for GATE to seek admission in MTech. BSc graduates are eligible to appear for JAM (Joint Admission Test for MSc) to seek admission in IITs.

Yes, you will have to appear in JEE mains after your 12th and if you qualify it you will be eligible for JEE advanced which is the gateway for IITs.

Hi,
You need to appear for the qualifying exam (12th standard exam) in the year in which you will be writing JEE or you should have completed a year before you are appearing for JEE Mains and Advanced.
So probably at the age of 16 years you can appear or JEE main and advanced.
Then you must have at least 75% in overall percentage and aggregate marks in PCM of 75%.
There are 2 attempts of JEE Advanced and 3 for JEE main.
If you satisfy these then you can get NITs and IITs.
