for IIT colleges u have to clear the cutt off. but clearing cutt off doesn't gurantee Your admission. Your rank should be under 8000 for IIT colleges. and if u want good one with good branches. then u have to work hard and Your rank sjould be in 2000-3000.

There is a big differnce between NIT AND IIT. its like comparing rolls royce with mercedes. although both are govt colleges. its not that all IIT are good. even nit' are also good. even nit patna is much better than IIT patna. so there is a differnce but it will nit effect Your quality of education. they both are equally best colleges.
