IMUCET does not conduct sponsorship exam and interview. It is held by different companies by their own generally after the exam they will call you if you got good rank in IMUCET. You can apply for Anglo maritime academy for sponsorship or there are many other companies.

Hello Samadhan, I could not find any information about Coimbatore Maritime Institute However there is a similar sounding college available called Coimbatore Maritime college. I hope you are talking about this college only. For getting Diploma in Marine Engineering, IMUCET is not required. It is because this exam is fundamentally to screen candidates for admission in Engineering College leading to degree of Marine Engineering. However for your benefit I am attaching a link that will give you all required information about this Institute. http://www.cmcmarine.in/best wishes.

Hello Agnish,
Yes, when you want to become a marine engineer it is obvious that you will be serving on the ship that could be sailing for many days without any recourse to good medical advice or facility. Hence DG shipping has laid down strict medical guidelines to be followed by all the institutes which are offering this course. It goes without saying that the students will be tested based on these standards before they are admitted for Marine engineering course. I am attaching a link that will give you detailed information about medical standards required:

If your basic concepts of class 12th subjects are clear then it is enough for IMUCET exam, but you should score above 50 marks in English, according to the eligibility criteria of this exam, or if you want to know more about how to prepare for this exam or how to manage time for this exam then you can join a coaching institute.
