There have been many advancements in electronics field but the job opportunities in the core field are limited.
Nowadays, most of the ECE engineers are being recruited for IT roles rather than core jobs. If you want to get a job in the core field you have to be extra-ordinary in both academics and extra-curriculars, then only you can stand out from the crowd. For getting into best companies first try to get into well reputed institutes like IITs, NITs, BITS and other CFTIs. Have a decent CGPA of at least 8.5+. For core jobs I would suggest to have 9+ to be on a safer side. You can increase your employ-ability by doing Post Graduation in one of the branches of ECE. You can appear for GATE if you want to do your PG in India or GRE if you want to study abroad.
