One should acknowledge that there is not very much scope in India at graduate level of education.
It is not similar to core Engineering branches such as Mechanical, CS, ECE, Civil, etc.
It is multi disciplinary field.
If you have back ground knowledge of Geography, Geology, Climatology, Meteorology, Urban Planning, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Water Resource Management etc at your Graduation level education then Geoinformatics at Masters Level will give you immense scope and opportunity to apply you graduation subjects in real world and you can earn huge bucks.
