Hello,
IIAE exam. The information available says that students have to apply based on their performance in class 12th and it does not talk of any exam by IIAE. I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information about different aspects of the admission procedure in this institution.

Hello Abhinav,
Manipal Institute of Technology is a Deemed to be university and conducts its own entrance exam for giving admission to different engineering courses that are conducted by it. On the other hand IIAE is a very typical Institute. It claims to run course of which two years of studies are in India while the last two years for studies are in an institution or university abroad with which it has tie up. Before taking admission try to find out from as many people as possible the position and then take an informed decision. Best wishes to you.

IIAE is surely not a run of the mill college. It follows a very typical and unique method. Firstly the admission procedure is telephonic interview based on which admission is granted. Secondly two years of the four years degree course are conducted in Dehradun in the college premises while the last two years the student is sent abroad for completion of a studies and a degree from the foreign universities with which institute has a tie up. Hi Soumen Malick,
Though you need to prepare for a formal interview , as per the reviews available on the internet in Aerospace Interview , first you have to choose the field like control, combustion, hydrodynamics etc. In all the fields mathematics is compulsory. They will start with mathematics, they may give you a chance to select the topics in mathematics. Generally questions will be fundamental not very complex. Prepare the basic. I gave my interview in hydrodynamics, they asked me some fundamental questions from fluid, heat transfer.

Hostels are too good including the food quality. You can learn a lot apart from your education if you live in the hostel like time management skills, team leadership, etc.

Placements for students of Aeronautical Engineering branch is indeed a tough proposition. In India, majority of probable recruiters are government agencies and these invariably do not come for placements but conduct their own exam for recruitment or recruit based on GATE score. So, do well and hope for the best.
