To apply for any course at IIAE Dehradun, candidates must follow these steps:
- Go to the Institute's official website. The Institute accepts online applications through their website. The college also accepts offline submission of form.
- Fill the application form
- Upload required documents and pay the application fee.
- Counselors from the Institute will contact candidates via mail or phone call.
- Candidates must submit scanned copies of the required documents.
- After the documents are verified, candidates will be offered admission to the Institute.
- To secure their admission, candidates must deposit the required fee and receive an offer letter.

IIAE Dehradun offers various programmes such as Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engneering and Business Management. The college also offers a two-year Associate Degree Programme (Aeronotical Engineering+ Full Professional Airline Pilot Porgramme with Placement) and International Transfer Programme (two year at IIAE and two-year UK/USA/Canada).

Indira Institute of Aircraft Engineering gives BSc Aviation admissions to candidates on a first-come, come first-served basis. The list of documents that are required while applying offline for the BSc Aviation course is as follows:
- Original Class 10 and 12 mark sheet
- Original Copy of Leaving Certificate
