For the General AI category, B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering and B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering are the most competitive branches, with the closing ranks of 32055, 36468 and 37288, respectively.

The modes of IIIT Kurnool admissions are online and offline. Admission to various courses at IIITDM Kurnool is based on entrance exams and merit. At the UG level, the college offers a four-year BTech in four specialisations. Admission to the BTech programme is based on JEE MAin scores. The aspiring candidates need a minimum of 75% in class 12 to be eligible for the BTech programme. At the PG level, the college offers two-year M.Tech in three specialisations. The IIIT Kurnool also offers Ph.D. courses to students.
