IIIT Sri City and IIIT Kancheepuram has good campuses. Both the colleges are visited by top companies for placements. Both offers state of the art facilities to students. The highest package offered by IIIT Sri City in 2023 was INR 120 LPA whereas the highest package offered by IIIT Kancheepuram in 2023 was INR 32 LPA. Hence IIIT Sri City is better in terms of placements.

IIITDM Kancheepuram seat intake for MDes programme is 20 seats, which is the least in comparison to the other UG And PG programme offered by the Insitution. The seats are offered entrance-based and depends on candidates' performance in the Common Entrance Exam for Design, popularly known as CEED, conducted by IIT Bombay. In the case of candidates having valid CEED scores, a category-wise merit list is prepared based on CEED scores.

Yes, candidates seeking admission to the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kancheepuram M.Des course need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria. To be eligible for IIIT Kancheepuram M.Des admission, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Design/ Architecture (under 10+2+4 years regular) with a minimum aggregate of 60% (55% aggregate in case of SC/ ST/ PwD) or equivalent grades in the qualifying degree.
