IISc Bangalore offers admission to candidates based on their scores in the entrance exam. Candidates are selected for BSc via JEE Main, JEE Advanced, IISER Aptitude Test, NEET or KVPY scores. The institute also considers scores in GATE, IIT JAM, etc. for admission to other courses-BTech, MSc, MTech.

No, it is no possible to seek admission at IISc for M.Tech without GATE exam.  Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore offers a four year M.Tech in various specialisations including Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and others. Admission to all the courses at IISc is completely entrance-based. The aspirants are admitted to M.Tech at IISc based on scores in GATE exam followed by COAP counselling. To know the specific eligibility criteria and whether there are any alternative pathways for admission without GATE, check out the official website.

For the purpose of Applying for the BSc programme in the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore one requires the minimal of the following: a pass in 10+2 certificate with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. The application procedure is normally through the month of February and normally ends in April.
