Academic performance is important, especially recent scores like GMAT/GRE, but factors such as work experience, leadership qualities, and the fit between the candidate's skills and the role also play a crucial role. While a strong academic background can improve your chances, companies value a well-rounded profile that includes professional experience and personal achievements.
