 No, Indiana University Indianapolis is not part of the Ivy League universities. Ivy League is an American collegiate athletic conference comprising eight private research universities. The Ivy League universities are: Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania and Yale University.

Indianapolis campuses of Indiana University and Purdue University, some of which are more than 100 years old, were merged together creating Indiana University Indianapolis. This merger won Indiana University Indianapolis accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission in 1969. Indiana University Indianapolis is now Indiana’s premier urban research university offering more than 450+ undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs.

Yes, an IUPUI placement test is required before you meet your academic advisor for the orientation. A $52 placement test fee will be charged to your Bursar bill. This fee includes all placement assessments (EAP, Math Skills Assessment, foreign language) that you may need to take.
