Yes, to give judiciary exams, you have to have a law degree. It is not at all necessary to become a judge. You can practice law and even become a corporate lawyer.

It depends on your interest. If you want to go in for practice then you can do private practice, or you can chose to be corporate lawyer or you can join a penal of legal advisor in some company, or go for judicial services. The career and scope is endless.
