Q:   Is CLAT required for BA LLB at Indore Institute of Law?

A:

CLAT is not required for admission to BA LLB at Indore Institute of Law. However, the institute accepts scores of various entrance exams such as IILET, CLAT, and LSAT for admission to Law PG courses, including BA LLB and BBA LLB.

The eligibility criteria for admission to BA LLB at Indore Institute of Law is successful completion of 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category).

Q:   What is the fee for Indore Institute of Law?

A:

The fee structure for the Indore Institute of Law is as follows:

  • The application form fee is INR 3,000
  • The fee for the BA LLB (Hons) programme is Rs. 8,05,000
  • The fee for the BA LLB (Hons) program, including hostel charges, is Rs. 8,83,000 for the duration of 5 years

Q:   Is Indore Institute of Law more expensive than DAVV?

A:

Indeed, DAVV (Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya) is often less expensive than Indore Institute of Law (IIL). The BA LLB (Hons.) degree at IIL costs about INR 7.50 Lacs in tuition each year, while the identical programme at DAVV costs about INR 1.20 lakh.

The annual tuition costs for the BA LLB (Hons.) programme at IIL and DAVV are contrasted in the following table:

Law SchoolAnnual Tuition Fees (INR)
Indore Institute of Law (IIL)7.50 lakh
DAVV (Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya)1.20 lakh

As you can see, DAVV's annual tuition fees are substantially less than those of IIL. This is because of several things, such as the fact that IIL is private, the greater cost of living in Indore, and the institution's perceived prominence.

Even with the more expensive tuition, IIL is regarded as a more esteemed legal school than DAVV. IIL boasts a more demanding academic program, a higher placement record, and a stronger reputation. Many students are therefore prepared to accept the increased tuition costs in order to attend IIL.

Of course, each student must make the final decision on whether to attend DAVV or IIL. When making decisions, students should take into account their personal preferences, academic aspirations, and financial position.

Q:   What entrance exam scores are accepted by Indore Institute of Law for admission?

A:

The Common Law Admission Test, or CLAT, is a well-liked national entrance test that is required for admission to all Indian law schools. For admission to the BA LLB (Hons.) and LLB programs, IIL recognizes CLAT results.

LSAT India: The LSAT India is an additional national entrance examination for admission to Indian law schools. LSAT India scores are accepted by IIL for admission to the BA LLB (Hons.) and LLB Programs.

The weightage given to each entrance exam score varies depending on the program. The remaining 10% of the weightage is given to the candidate's academic performance in Class 12th.

For the LLB program, 50% of the weightage is given to the IILET, CLAT, or LSAT India scores, while the remaining 50% of the weightage is given to the candidate's academic performance in the qualifying degree (LLB).

Here's a table summarizing the entrance exam scores accepted by IIL for admission:
