The GIBS Business School provides many opportunities for international learning and global exposure that enable students to gain a wider viewpoint on the world of business. The GIBS Business School understands that the pressure of placement preparation can be overwhelming, and therefore provides a supportive environment through a comprehensive student-centred approach to career development and mental wellness.

• Structured Placement Preparation

GIBS takes a strategic approach to the placement preparation process by distributing it throughout the entire academic year, as opposed to cramming everything into the end of the year. Through this process, students develop their self-confidence through the use of workshops, mock interviews, group discussions, aptitude testing and interactions with employers so that they are less likely to experience panic and stress as they approach their placements.

• Emotional and Personal Support

The faculty, mentors and placement staff at GIBS take an active role in encouraging the student, providing one-on-one supportive guidance and helping them to set realistic goals that keep them on track and focused. With this type of personal attention, students are able to better manage their anxiety and stay focused and motivated on their placement preparation.
