To be eligible for a four-year BTech at Pune Institute of Computer Technology, Society of Computer Technology and Research, the candidate must have passed class 12th with a minimum of 45% in a relevant stream from any recognised board. Candidates must have completed 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories) in mathematics, physics and chemistry in order to be considered for a B.E. or B.Tech programme at CIET, Coimbatore. TNEA counseling is the main method of admission which is determined by TNEA rank and grades from the 12th grade. There is no admission exam needed for the selection process which takes into account the TNEA rank list. There are management quota seats available but they require a direct application and come with higher costs. Candidates with appropriate studies from the vocational stream are also eligible.

The Hi-Tech Institute of Engineering and Technology (HIET) selects students for B.E./B.Tech courses based on a combination of merit and entrance exams. Generally, candidates need to have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in a Science stream.
