As per the information on the web, the closing rank for GM category in 2025 was 11442 in round 3. So, yes candidate can pursue MCA from NIE Mysore. The chances may be low, because the priority is given to candidate with higher ranks.

If candidate could not appear in PGCET, he or she can appear in KMAT for MCA admission at NIE Mysore. The eligibility for MCA mentions BCA/CSE or BSc, BCom, BA with 50% aggregate and KMAT/PGCET.

No, candidate who has secured less than 50% marks is not eligible for admission in MCA at National Institute of Engineering. Because, it is clearly mentioned on the official website of the institute, that it is mandatory to have at least 50% marks in aggregate to be eligible for admission.

Yes, entrance exams like CET, COMEDK (for BTech) are accepted at National Institute of Engineering. These are not only accepted, but one of the necessary criteria to follow, to be eligible for admission. For PG courses, KMAT, PGCET, and GATE is required. The seat allotment is done through exam conducting organisation only.

No, candidates failed in even one subject in Class 12 cannot take admission in BE at National Institute of Engineering. For admission, 60% aggregate is one of the mandatory criteria. Candidate other than PCM stream, are also not eligible to take admission in BE at National Institute of Engineering.

National Institute of Engineering offers 480 seats for BE Computer Science and Engineering. The course is of four-year duration. Candidate must be a Class 12 pass out with PCM and 60% aggregate. No other stream than PCM is accepted for BE admission.

There are limited seats for management quota admission. So, candidates must start with the procedure as soon as they get their entrance exam credentials.

Yes, NIE Mysore has application fees for registration. The institute accepts various government exams for admission. Flagship BTech course requires CET/COMEDK. The application fees for CET is INR 500. For PG courses exams like PGCET/KMAT/GATE is required. Application fees of PGCET is INR 750. Application fees for KMAT is INR 873. There is no application fees mentioned for admission through management quota.
