IHM Bangalore is good I am a passout student from the same college, the picture online shown for the college is not how the college looks like although it's one of the best college. The faculty and hostel is good. The placement records are 200%, so if you want to do HM it is one of the best college.

If you are selected as MT in hotel then your starting salary would be around 20k on an average after training of 18 months it would be around 37k in Marriott and other hotels except ITC (it's 55k) and Oberoi (50k) whereas in retail the staring salary would be around 30k per month apart from incentives.

Well there is no doubt that IHM Bangalore is far better, I am passout from IHM, Bangalore and I know things from my personal experience IHM Bangalore is good if you want to for hotel management.

You have to select which institution you want to join. Somewhere, its on first come first serve basis and different institutions have different hostel fee. For Bangalore, it's 78,000 per year.

You can go for B.Sc Degree that is of 3 years or you can go for Diploma that is for 1 year 6 months or you can go for crafts person course that would be of 6 months.

In class, it should be more then 50% and in NCHMCT exam it depends on the rank what you would score.

If you are from general category, you need to have a rank between 15-400 for best College that includes IHM Pusa, Bangalore and Mumbai. If you are from OBC, you can have rank till 1800 for Pusa 5000 for Mumbai 9000 for Bangalore.

No, you can't you have to give the exam for hotel management again NCHMCT and clear it. You cannot have a Diploma degree and join B.Sc course as second year.
