The eligibility for the BSc in Hospitality & Hotel Administration would be class 12 passed from a recognised board and, in addition, one of the subjects in the qualifying examination should be English. There is no upper age limit for applying.

The duration of the IHM Chennai BSc HHA is a three years. This UG-level programme is divided into six semesters. The subjects vary for each of the semester. Candidates have to clear each semester with the minimum required marks to get degree at the end of the course. Candidates completing the UG programme within the maximum allowed duration are awarded a degree by the institute.

For admission to the IHM Chennai BSc HHA course, the aspirant should be a Class 12 or equivalent exam pass. Aspirants should have studied English as one of the subjects in the qualifying exam. Moreover, there is no maximum age
limit for applying in this course. Further, it is also crucial that the aspirants hold the relevant documents during form filling and admission confirmation. These documents are required as proof of eligibility. Eligible students can apply for the course by completing the application formalities.

The institute may reserve certain seats in the programme for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories or for Kashmir migrants. Moreover, the maximum age limit allowed for SC/ST candidates is 25 years. Additionally, for the General and OBC candidates, the age limit is 22 year as on Jul 1. Yes, you need to undergo an industrial training in the third/fourth semester of the programme. It should be a 17-week long training programme. Students have to submit the certificate of training completion as well at the institute. Only the students who submit the certificate shall gain an edge in the placements.

IHM Chennai accepts NCHMCT JEE ranks for admission to BSc courses, followed by counselling. IHM Chennai NCHMCT JEE Cutoff 2025 has been released for Round 1. The cutoff rank was released for B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration for different categories under the AI Quota. For the General AI Category candidates, the cutoff rank stood at 3063. The first round cutoff for the same course was 3609 in 2024 and 3258 in 2023. Considering the Round 1 cutoff ranks over three years, it is evident that the BSc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration saw a fluctuating trend in its closing ranks for the General AI quota.

You must have a bachelor's degree in hospitality and hotel administration from NCHMCT or IGNOU in order to be eligible for the M.Sc. in hospitality administration at IHM Chennai. An AICTE-approved institution may also accept a bachelor's degree in hotel management and catering technology. The website makes no indication of an age restriction. The MSc. programme has a built in specialisation in Semester III wherein students have the option to take up either Human Resource Management or Sales & Marketing Post Graduate.
