Thapar university is better over CU in many terms such as placements, crowd, facilities, reputation etc. However, Thapar charges more than CU but it is worth to take admission in Thapar. Chandigarh University B.E. (Hons. ). In CSE (Information Security) in Collaboration with IBM course is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 21 genuine verified students while VIT Vellore same course is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 9 students at Shiksha. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is better than VIT. Thapar has various international rankings, excellent placement records, a qualified team of professionals as faculty members who provide the best possible

Students must have passed Class 12 or equivalent in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects. The student must get a minimum of 55% of the aggregate of marks from any recognised board.
