Sur Institute of Technology as well as Sports Complex also grants scholarships to students, but it does not generally provide 100% scholarships. Merit- and need-based assistance, as well as the usual specific government schemes or institutional aids, are involved. Some students may earn partial funding within the eligibility and amount defined according to the type of scholarship he is applying-for, like scholarships for the economically weaker sections and those for high achievers. For specific details, it is advisable to check the announcements made by college regarding scholarships.

Hostel mess food is perceived as pretty good at Sur Institute of Technology and Sports Complex as the students are satisfied having their meals here. The mess has been very much loved by the students for its variety of vegetarian food including both North Indian and South Indian dishes. The food taste and quality vary from time to time, like any other hostel facilities. There are students with various comments regarding it. While some mention a need of improvement in variety and taste, some are good with basic cleanliness and nutrition. Regular feedback is usually taken on improving food quality.
