The campus has fast internet connectivity with well-furnished classrooms, well-equipped laboratories and a good library with more than 25000 books. Yes, aspirants can avail admission for B.E./B.Tech at Hirasugar Institute of Technology (HSIT) other than KCET using COMEDK or management seat. For COMEDK the students have to obtain a rank For the Management quota they have to fulfill certain criteria as 45% in 10+2 for the PCM stream. The charges for management quota seats are generally slightly higher than the students excised through the entrance exams.

For admission into the Hirasugar Institute of Technology (HSIT) to do the UG programmes like B.Tech one needs to have 45% in their 10+2 (PCM) and clear the KCET or COMEDK examination. For PG courses like M.Tech Requirement is B.Tech/BE with a minimum of 50% Marks, and qualifying in PGCET/GATE is mandatory. The seats are allotted depending on the performance in the entrance test conducted and then the counselling session.

The required documents for the B.E./B.Tech application process at SJM Institute of Technology (SJMIT) includes:
1. Copy of Tenth and Twelfth mark sheets-original and Photocopy.
2. KCET/COMEDK scorecard.
3. Caste certificate if any other than the general category income certificate.
4. The documents include a Transfer Certificate (TC) and Conduct Certificate.
