Candidates should have appeared for JEE Main 2018 and must have got required marks in it. Must have qualified class 12th /equivalent with the minimum of 60% marks in mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Yes, a dropout can apply for undergraduate UGAT any NIT, IIIT on the basis of his/her JEE Mains rank. If you have passed 12th in 2018 and dropped one year then you can apply in 2019 on the basis of your rank of JEE Mains 2019.

It totally depend on JOSAA counselling. You may get NIT-Allahabad, but IIIT-Hyderabad is best. IIIT is among all the IIITs, so you cannot get it.
