IUST Awantipora has not yet released the official report on BTech placements for 2024. However, the university's NIRF report 2024 contains the median pacakge offered to BTech students in 2023, which was INR 5.4 LPA. In 2022, the median package offered to BTech students at Islamic University of Science and Technology was INR 4.8 LPA. Top recruiters of the university include HDFC Bank, KPMG, HCL INFOSYSTEMS, etc. The median package for BTech courses increased by nearly 7% in 2022 when compared with 2021.

You can enter BTech IT through lateral entry by completing your Diploma in IT because this pathway allows entry into the second year of BTech programming. Universities and colleges approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) commonly provide this program. To qualify for this programme you must maintain at least 60% success in your Diploma programme and the minimum criteria must be fulfilled. The duration of this course extends to 3 years but the cost for tuition can vary from INR 50,000 to INR 1.5 Lacs per academic year.

The IUST Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is a three-year programme. The course duration is further divided into six semesters. In each semester, students are taught the theoretical and practical aspects of various core and elective subjects releated to the wide field of Mechanical Engineering. Each subject carries certain credits. Students are evaluted through Mid-term and End-term exams. Some subjects included in the course curriculum are Thermodynamics, Applied Mechanics, Material Science, Metrology & Quality, etc.

In total, there are 180 Diploma seats at IUST Awantipora. These seats are equally divided among the three Diploma specialisations offered at the university. The university allocates these seats to eligible applicants based on their performance in the University Entrance Test. IUST Awantipora Diploma admission is granted to applicants who fulfil the eligibility and selection criteria specified by the university. To be eligible for admission, applicants must have completed Class 10/Class 12 (for Lateral Entry) with the required minimum aggregate. Hence, it can be said that the candidates who have appeared or are appearing for the Class 10/Class 12 exam in the current year can apply for admission. A 'Declaration for Result Awaited Candidates' must be filled by candidates applying before their final results are declared.

Yes, IUST Awantipora provides an option to join its Diploma courses directly in the second year through lateral entry. Diploma (Lateral Entry) aspirants must appear for the University Entrance Test to secure admission. They must also fulfil the below-given eligibility criteria to be considered for admission:
- Candidates who have passed Class 12 shall be eligible for admission to the second year of Diploma Course (s) in any branch of Engineering and Technology; OR
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 with any of the three subjects: Physics/ Mathematics / Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics

Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora offers three-year Diploma in three specialisations. The university has specified the requirements that an applicant must satisfy to be eligible to take admission to a Diploma course. The eligibility criteria for all three specialisations are the same. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have passed Class 10 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 35% and Science and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The eligibility criteria for Lateral Entry admission to the Diploma courses is different.

IUST Awantipora Diploma admission is subject to the fulfilment of the preset eligibility and selection criteria. The eligibility criteria for Diploma admission is for the candidates to have passed Class 10 with the minimum required aggregate (35%) and relevant subjects. Such candidates are required to appear for the University Entrance Test to be considered for seat allocation. Hence, getting a direct admission to the Diploma courses of IUST Awantipora may not be possible.
