Jamia Millia Islamia Scope

Jamia Millia Islamia was born out of the independence movement, and was created to instill nationalistic and secularistic values in its students. The university was born as a separate Muslim minority institution to resist the British influence over Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

The Jamia Milla Islamia University New Delhi legacy consists of individuals such as Mahatma Gandhi, Mahmud Hasan, Zakir Hussain, Hakim Ajmal Khan, Maulana Muhammad Ali Jauha, etc., who supported the creation and growth of JMI Delhi.

JMI Delhi is located in the South Delhi region and is conveniently accessible via different modes of transportation.
