Usually results for M.Phil and Ph.D. programmes are released later, as the admission process for such programmes is different as compared to other ones like undergraduate and postgraduate. Jamia Millia Islamia offers Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Admission to this course is done through JMI Entrance Exam. Candidates who qualify the written test and meet the cut off declared by the university are called for counselling. The exam pattern for B.A. Political Science is such that it consists of four sections: English, General Awareness, Reasoning and Social Awareness. Around 100 multiple choice questions are asked from all the sections. There is no sectional time limit in this exam but there is a provision of negative marking. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted as penalty. However, no marks are deducted for unattempted questions. The duration of the exam is 1 hour 30 minutes. Candidates are required to prepare well in advance to clear the JMI Entrance Exam.

Candidates will have to paste their postcard-size photograph of 4"x6" dimension on the JMI Entrance Exam 2023 admit card. The photograph should be the same as that uploaded during the JMI Exam 2023 application process. They must also ensure that the photograph is clearly visible and legible and fulfills the guidelines given by Jamia Millia Islamia. The photograph must be pasted properly on the admit card so that it does not drop off from the document. The photograph must be self attested and should follow the parameters given below:

If the details printed on the JMI exam 2023 admit card do not match those on the official ID proof that you carry on the day of the examination, you will not be allowed to appear for the exam. You must ensure that the rectified admit card for the JMI exam is received well in advance, prior to the exam day, to avoid last-minute stress. In case the university does not send the revised JMI admit card despite the request, then you must carry copies of email communications along with your valid photo identity card, which is a mandatory document for the exam day, to the exam centre.
