No. The result of JMI Entrance Exam will be released on the basis of the level of programme. Usually results for M.Phil and Ph.D. programmes are released later, as the admission process for such programmes is different as compared to other ones like undergraduate and postgraduate. Moreover, the JMI Entrance Exam Result is released separately for each course. In some courses interview is also conducted after the written test while for some courses candidates have to appear for counseling based on the cut off released by the university. Jamia Millia Islamia offers Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Admission to this course is done through JMI Entrance Exam. Candidates who qualify the written test and meet the cut off declared by the university are called for counselling. The exam pattern for B.A. Political Science is such that it consists of four sections: English, General Awareness, Reasoning and Social Awareness. Around 100 multiple choice questions are asked from all the sections. There is no sectional time limit in this exam but there is a provision of negative marking. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted as penalty. However, no marks are deducted for unattempted questions. The duration of the exam is 1 hour 30 minutes. Candidates are required to prepare well in advance to clear the JMI Entrance Exam.

Candidates will have to paste their postcard-size photograph of 4"x6" dimension on the JMI Entrance Exam 2023 admit card. The photograph should be the same as that uploaded during the JMI Exam 2023 application process. They must also ensure that the photograph is clearly visible and legible and fulfills the guidelines given by Jamia Millia Islamia. The photograph must be pasted properly on the admit card so that it does not drop off from the document. The photograph must be self attested and should follow the parameters given below:
1. The photograph should not be older.
2. Candidates should not be wearing caps or sunglasses or face mask
3. Both ears should be clearly visible
4. The photograph should have been taken against a white background
JMI states that it is mandatory to paste the photograph on the admit card, otherwise it will lead to disqualification.
