There will be one general merit list and another category-specific merit list containing JEXPO results. To check the JEXPO Merit list, a candidate needs to enter his or her enrollment number. There are some instances when two or more candidates score the same marks in the JEXPO. To resolve the ties, the exam authority adopted the tie-breaking rule. It is mentioned below:
- Higher marks in Mathematics. That is, a candidate with higher marks in Mathematics will be given a higher rank.
- If tie still exist, higher marks in Physical Science/ Science will be considered. 
- If tie still persist, candidate who have obtained higher marks in English will be given preference or a higher rank.
