There will be one general merit list and another category-specific merit list containing JEXPO results. To check the JEXPO Merit list, a candidate needs to enter his or her enrollment number. Shortlisted candidates on the basis of qualifying exam scores will have their names on the official merit list, which is released separately as general as well as category-specific. The JEXPO merit list is usually prepared on the basis of the JEXPO scores. Candidates will be eligible to participate in the counselling process based on their JEXPO ranks.

There are some instances when two or more candidates score the same marks in the JEXPO. To resolve the ties, the exam authority adopted the tie-breaking rule. It is mentioned below:
- Higher marks in Mathematics. That is, a candidate with higher marks in Mathematics will be given a higher rank.
- If tie still exist, higher marks in Physical Science/ Science will be considered.
- If tie still persist, candidate who have obtained higher marks in English will be given preference or a higher rank.

The JEXPO result will be announced by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) on the official website in the form of a merit list. The merit list is prepared on the basis of the candidate's performance in the entrance examination. Along with the general rank, the authorities also releases the category rank on the official website. For female candidates, a separate mention of ‘female general rank’ will also be reflected in the JEXPO merit list 2025. Basically, merit in JEXPO 2025 is prepared after considering a candidate's performance in the entrance exam.

The exam authority released the JEXPO result 2023 in the form of a merit list. Applicants declared qualified will be eligible to appear for JEXPO counselling. To check the JEXPO result, candidates need to put their registration number to get their JEXPO merit rank. JEXPO 2023 exam was held on June 3, 2023, at several centres across the country. The JEXPO examination result will determine the eligibility of candidates for admission into various Polytechnic institutions in the state. Those candidates who score high marks in the examination will be eligible for admission into the top Polytechnic institutions in the state.
