JEXPO 2026: Registration, Dates, Eligibility Merit List, Admission Process

Candidates appearing for the exam have to pay INR 450 (for valid Kanyashree enrollees: INR 225). Payment of application
fee is to be made online through Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI. The authority will not accept the application fee of JEXPO in offline mode.

JEXPO Exam will be conducted for two hours, or 120 minutes, in offline mode. The West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development will release the JEXPO exam pattern on its official website. JEXPO is a state-level Polytechnic entrance exam. It is conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education. JEXPO stands for the Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics. The JEXPO exam pattern comprises duration, type of questions, number of questions, and others. The JEXPO 2024 exam will be conducted in offline pen-and-paper mode for a duration of two hours. The exam will be bilingual (English and Bengali).

Candidates need to fill out the mandatory details while filling out the JEXPO application form, like the name of the candidate, email ID, mobile number, date of birth, address, contact number, category, etc. After completing the application procedures, candidates will get the registration number and password on their email ID and phone number. The JEXPO exam will be conducted for two hours with 100 marks for admission of students to Diploma Courses in Engineering & Technology. The number of questions asked subject-wise is:

No, it is not at all mandatory to attempt all the questions of the JEXPO entrance examination. All the questions will be asked in Multiple Choice Question format in JEXPO exam. In total 100 questions are asked and each carry one mark. There is no negative marking in the JEXPO examination. Candidates need to compete the exam in two hours. Also, more than one answer against any question will be treated as incorrect response/wrong answer. 

The total duration of JEXPO exam is 2 hours and the exam is conducted continuous without any break. Candidates are allowed to enter the exam hall as per the scheduled time and can leave only after the completion of paper. The exam will have a total of 100 questions from subjects, Physical Science and Mathematics. There is no separate time for subjects and students can appear any subject based on his/her choice.

• It is advised that the candidates read all the instructions carefully before filling out the application form.
• Fill in the boxes with English capital letters.
• Mention the date of birth carefully, as instructed.
• Candidates should use recent photographs.
• The father's or guardian's name of the candidate and a complete mailing address with the correct postal PIN code number should be written.
• The candidate should use their full signature in the specified place on the application form.
• Mention the zone code correctly in the application form.
• Keep a print copy of the filled-in application form.
• Candidates should write the Question Booklet No. in the specified places on both the OMR Answer Sheet and Attendance Sheet.
• After the completion of the examination, the candidate should submit the OMR sheet to the invigilator.
