Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College is quite recognized, and by the IIRF 2024, JGEC stands at position 159. It was set up in 1961 and currently provides B.Tech., B.Tech lateral and M.Tech. in 6 disciplines and 360 students intake . The colleges have placed its students pretty well in the market; as in, the year 2019, 80% of the students were placed.
