To become a part of the K.K. Wagh Institute of Engineering Education and Research, the candidate must fulfill the eligibility requirements (10+2, 50% aggregate) as well as obtain qualifying marks in MHT-CET (150+), JEE Main (75+percentile). He/she must register online (Rs. 500 application fee), attend counselling (CAP rounds) and get documents verified. The college has an admission intake of 1,200 students/year and so eligible candidates (10+2, PCMB) can apply in the duration of May-July. The allotment of seats is done through a few (3-4) counselling rounds: 50% MHT-CET, 30% JEE Main and 20% institute MAIN.

Eligibility Criteria :
- 10+2 or equivalent class with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology
- at least 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories) and above
- MHT-CET or JEE Main scores are considered
- For candidates with a Maharashtra domicile 70% seats are filled through MHT-CET
- For candidates with no domicile in Maharashtra- 30% seats are filled through JEE Main.
