Both the DPharm course and the BPharm programme have similar basic eligibility requirements, which include candidates must qualify for their Class 12 from the PCM/PCB stream. The selection process is based on the scores candidates achieved in the JEE CUP entrance examination. However, there are some vacant seats that candidates can secure through direct admission but for that too, candidates are required to fulfil certain eligibility criteria.

In recent times, a government job is more preferable than a private job. After completing a four-year BPharm degree course candidates have various options that they can pursue, such as Govt. hospital Pharmacist, Drug Inspector, Drug squad in police, Regulatory Affairs Officer, etc. To get these job roles candidates are required to qualify for government exams, such as UPSC, SPSC, SSC, etc.

A solid understanding of both Science and mathematics is necessary for a variety of topics covered in BPharm courses, such as pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical engineering, and biochemistry. A solid foundation in these areas and a sincere interest in the subject are important to make BPharma courses easy to handle.
