Having 109 marks in NEET, admission to a BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery) course in Karnataka may be difficult, but not out of the question, provided you are in a reserved category. Admission to BUMS courses in Karnataka is usually based on the NEET score, and all colleges have separate cutoffs for general and reserved categories. Private colleges may have lower cutoffs than government colleges. Given that you come from a middle-class family, be sure to pursue both private and government institutions that have affordable tuition. Monitor the cutoff trends in each institution.

Having an SC category rank of 9,200 in JEE Main, getting into IIIT Kottayam or IIIT Dharwad for B.Tech courses might prove difficult, since the cutoffs of past years for SC candidates have been quite lower.

For example, in 2024, the closing ranks for SC students at IIIT Kottayam ranged from 3,545 to 10,370.

The college Acharya Institute of Technology Bangalore enjoys affiliation with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). There is not any freedom or autonomous status.

The institution entirely runs under this university's laws and regulations. It provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and all the programs' curriculums and degrees are connected with VTU's control. Thus, it doesn't possess the autonomy to set up its own courses or give a degree.
