No, NEET is the mandatory exam for admission to Manipal College of Dental Sciences BDS programme. Aspirants are first required to qualify NEET and then appear for counselling and seat allotment through MCC. NEET exam is conducted once a year in offline or paper-pencil-based test (PBT) mode for three hours and 20 minutes or 200 minutes. NEET includes 200 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology, out of which 180 questions have to be attempted.
