Candidates cannot get direct admission in any of the undergraduate, postgraduate, super specialty or fellowship programme offered by the college. The institute accepts the scores and rank of multiple entrance examinations. Candidates must appear for NEET UG for admission in MBBS programme, NEET PG for MD and MS programmes and NEET SS for admission in DM and MCh programmes offered at KMC Manipal. Manipal Entrance Test/ department tests are also conducted for admission in the MSc, MPhil and fellowship programmes at Manipal Medical College.

Manipal Medical College MBBS admission 2025 is now open and the institute will admit students on the basis of rank obtained by them in the NEET. The competition has grown multifold over the years for admission in the MBBS programme. The last round closing rank for General All India category for MBBS programme admission was 40,258 in the year 2024 while it was 24,330 for the year 2023.
