Students seeking to pursue the PhD admission at Kaziranga University must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

  • A Master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks or is equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 10-point scale OR a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 75% marks or equivalent.
  • Candidates who have completed the M.Phil. programme with atleast 55% marks in aggregate or it's equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.

Note: A relaxation of 5% marks or it's equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Differently abled, Economically Weaker Sectio

Kaziranga University offers a full-time undergraduate degree in BTech across multiple specialisations. To be eligible for the course, students need to have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology as one of the subjects with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% aggregate for SC/ ST category). To be eligible for BTech admission at Kaziranga University, applicants must have  passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational as one of the subjects. They must have obtained at least 45% in the above subjects taken together. The minimum aggregate scored required for SC/ST candidates is 40% as a relaxation of 5% is provided to them. Additionally, the university may require applicants to have qualified in one of the accepted entrance exams, such as JEE, Assam CEE and KUEST.

Kaziranga University offers a BA (Hons) in Sociology. To be eligible to pursue BA (Hons) at the university, applicants must have passed Class 12 in the stream of Arts/Science/Commerce from any recognised board. They must have scored at least 45% in Class 12. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category must have obtained a minimum of 40% in Class 12 to be eligible for admission.
