Students seeking to pursue the PhD admission at Kaziranga University must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:
- A Master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks or is equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 10-point scale OR a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 75% marks or equivalent.
- Candidates who have completed the M.Phil. programme with atleast 55% marks in aggregate or it's equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
Note: A relaxation of 5% marks or it's equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Differently abled, Economically Weaker Sectio

To be eligible for BTech admission at Kaziranga University, applicants must have passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational as one of the subjects. They must have obtained at least 45% in the above subjects taken together. The minimum aggregate scored required for SC/ST candidates is 40% as a relaxation of 5% is provided to them. Additionally, the university may require applicants to have qualified in one of the accepted entrance exams, such as JEE, Assam CEE and KUEST.

To be eligible to pursue DPharma at Kaziranga Universty, applicants must have passed Class 12/equivalent examination with Phyiscs, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology (PCM/PCB) and English as a compulsory subject. Kaziranga University provides merit-based scholarships of up to 100% through its Special Scholarship Scheme for National Students.
