There is no Tier 1 or Tier 2 classification for the KIET Group of Institutions. The school has earned a number of accreditations and rankings, including an NIRF Engineering Rank ranking, an NBA accreditation for all eligible programs, and a 'A+' grade from the NAAC.

 RGUKT (Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, Andhra Pradesh) offers six-year after 10th class examinations which includes two years pre-university course equivalent to intermediate degree followed by four year degree course in engineering course. It is ranked in the band of 151 – 200 by NIRF and 258 in India by Uni rank. It is ranked 7438 in the world by Uni rank.

The total seats offered for B.E. / B.Tech at KIET Group of Institutions and G.L. Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management are 1530 and 1380, respectively. While KIET Group of Institutions offers this course in 10 specialisations, G.L. Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management offers the same in 11 specialisations. Hence, there are higher chances of getting a seat at KIET Group of Institutions due to higher seats.
