Yes, KIET's new “Deemed-to-be University” status makes its degree fully valid and recognised across India. The institution has NAAC A+ accreditation, NBA accreditation for all eligible programs, and is consistently ranked in NIRF (151–200 band for Engineering), so its degree carries strong academic and professional credibility.

 What Changed at KIET

  • Earlier Status: Affiliated to AKTU (Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University).
  • Now: Granted Deemed-to-be University status under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 in November 2025.
  • Autonomy: KIET now designs its own curriculum, conducts exams, and awards degrees independently.

the easiest entrance exam to crack KIET Ghaziabad BTech admissions may change between years. However, from the available information, the KIET Entrance Exam seems easier than the JEE Mains to crack. KEIT Entrance Exam does not have negative marking unlike JEE Mains where candidates suffer negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer they mark.

KIET Ghaziabad accepts the scores of one of two entrance exams which are the JEE Mains and KIET Entrance Exam. Among these two exams, the JEE Mains is conducted in offline mode only. Candidates need to appear in the designated venue on the specified date and time.

However, the KEE is conducted in online mode and scheduled by candidate's themselves.
