MAKAUT is not a college, it is a university. Hostel facility is available for both girls and boys in Haringhata Main Campus of MAKAUT. No there is no such restriction of what are talking. Also, there are a lot of PGs available in the area for a reasonable cost. So you will not face any problem. Best of luck.

Hi Arindam, Calcutta Institute of Engineering And Management (CIEM) is not a government college. It is a private college located in Tollygunge, affiliated to MAKAUT. And as far as ranking is concerned, it does not come in the top 200 engineering colleges in India, so there is no formal rank for it in NIRF Ranking 2019.
