English has been recognised as one among the several domains in the newly formed Common University Entrance Test (CUET).
The CUET exam structure has multiple sections among which Section I has been earmarked for language tests. The candidates are provided the choice of selecting any one from the 13 languages available including English. The first merit list for the B.A. English program at D.G. Ruparel College in 2023 required an open category cut-off of 559. That means, to be eligible for selection in the admission process, students should have secured a minimum 559 marks in their 10+2 results. Cut-off marks keep changing from year to year based on other aspects too, like the number of applicants and their examination scores. For up-to-date and accurate information, it is advisable to refer to the college's official website.

For admission to BA Honors English at dU (University of Delhi), you should not depend on the preparation of 4 specific subjects (like English, Chemistry, Biology and Physical Education) apart from the General Test. The admission process often requires the Common Test (CUET), which includes tests of English, Mathematics, General Knowledge and other subjects. So, if you focus only on these 4 subjects, it may not be enough for the admission process.
