To secure a seat in the BA LLB course at Rayat Bahra University, candidates are required to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria that states:
- Candidates should have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board of education. Minimum overall score of 50% for general category students. Minimum score of 40% for SC/ST candidates.
- For the general type Applicant's age must be under 20 years. There has been a relaxation of age for SC/ST candidates and generally, the maximum age for them is 22 years.

Candidates are required to carry the below-mentioned list of documents at the time of admission to BA LLB courses at Rayat Bahra University:
- Original and photocopies of academic transcripts (Mark sheet & Certificates)
- Carry 10 passport-sized photographs.
- Original and photocopy of candidates' passport/ National ID
- Fee transfer receipt of the academic as well as hostel Fee
- Admission letter issued by Rayat Bahra University at the time of reporting at the university.
