The admission to the B.Tech program through lateral entry plan is done through certain admission tests. The concerned University or Institution that offers the course carries out these tests. Those who have passed 3-year diploma in the related subject are eligible to apply for the same. The candidate has to score well in admission test to get admission in to any of the reputed engineering Colleges.

It depends upon the college and the course you opt. The final mop up round counselling in BHU AMU and so many government college offer the students who had score 500 -520.

LEET is the entrance exam for candidates who wish to get lateral entry admission in an engineering college. Now, I can't say if you can give LEET exam or not, because you have not mentioned any information about your course. Lateral Entry Scheme is basically for the candidates who have completed either Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. through this scheme. Diploma and B.Sc candidates can get direct admission in the 2nd year of engineering. What kind of stream you can apply for in engineering depends on the subject in which you have completed B.Sc or Diploma. This scheme was started to give Diploma and B.Sc students a better career option

LEET exam is conducted every year. Moreover, some universities also conduct their own entrance exam for lateral entry. You can also apply in VIT whose exam form last date is June.

Haryana LEET: For preparing for Haryana LEET, you have to buy AG Publication LEET Book, which contain different question of different branches. So, you have to read all it's theory carefully of every branch. You have to make sure that you make your branch portion the strongest of all. And, the book contains section D. You must cover all the MCQ questions of it, if it is necessary. You also have to put high stress on Maths, Physics, Chemistry portion from your subject book, which you have studied in your semester. Hello Amir,
Unfortunately, there is no common rule regarding lateral entry in engineering colleges. Every state has it's own rules and regulations. There is nothing central. Hence, I am afraid, you will have to check with the Directorate of tech education of your state regarding the admission process.

There are many colleges and universities where you can pursue B.Tech. Even you can take admission in the top universities.
