Yes, you can give LEET exam, but you don't need to give it. Because, it’s for admission in 2nd year, as you are in first year and you will automatically go to 2nd year next year.

No, you can't get admission in NIT Kurukshetra after clearing LEET Exam. In NIT-Kurukshetra, admission is done on the basis of JEE Mains rank.

Lateral Entry Entrance Test, after completing your 3 years Diploma in engineering, you can appear for LEET exam to get admission directly in 2nd year of engineering degree.
