The basic LIC AAO eligibility criterion for a Specialist is that candidates should have a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or institution. Candidates should be at minimum 21 years of age to apply for the LIC AAO Specialist post. The upper age limit is 30 years for AAO Specialist CS, Actuarial, Insurance Specialists and 32 years for CA and Legal posts. Have a look at the post-wise AAO Specialist eligibility below:

- Graduation
- Age limit: 21 to 30 years
However, the upper age limit is relaxed for SC, ST, OBC and PwD.

The LIC AAO Prelims exam is conducted online, comprising objective-type MCQs. There are a total of 100 questions in the AAO Generalist Prelims exam. A total of 760 vacancies have been announced for Assistant Administrative Officer in LIC this year. Of these, 350 vacancies are for AAO Generalist and 410 vacancies for AAO Specialist. These vacancies will be filled through a three-phased selection process- prelims, Mains and interview.

The basic pay for the LIC AAO post is INR 53600 per month. The LIC AAO pay scale is INR 53600- 2645 (14) –90630– 2865 (4) –102090 and other admissible allowances. The total LIC AAO salary inclusive of House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), etc. wherever admissible will be approximately INR 92870 per month in ‘A’ Class city. Apart from salary and allowances, other benefits enjoyed by LIC AAO are:
