Admission to all the courses in agricultural science are done through entrance examination. These exams are conducted by the concerned institute/university.
Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi conduct an entrance examination separately for graduate and postgraduate courses. The eligibility requirement for the exam is class 12th pass in science/agriculture with 50% for graduate-level courses, and 60% in B.Sc/B.Sc (Agriculture) for postgraduate level courses. Especially in research field like Biotechnology and life science you would get good opportunities after master and PhD level. You won't get many opportunities after B.Sc or B.Tech degree. Especially in India this field don't have good salary structure .Either you need to get few years of experience abroad then settle in India.
