The intake of the total number of seats is filled through the JMI exam, which admits candidates in order of merit. In the allocation process, it will include reservations to make sure there is representation from different sections of society. Candidates who get above the cutoff marks in the selection process are invited for counselling when the exam results are out, at which point candidates will fill up their choice of institutions according to their rank.

Yes, the Faculty of Law offers the self-financed LLM specialisations, such as Personal Law, Corporate Law, and Criminal Law. In its LLM programme, each specialisation will have 10 seats, both in the regular and self-financing categories. More precisely, self-financed LLM courses offer an alternative to the students who may not get admission into the seats available in the regular mode. Whereas the self-financing courses have different fee structures, the regular programmes are allowed more latitude in enrollment options to prospectively seek law studies at Faculty of Law, JMI.
