For Indian students in particular, it is generally not worth paying a massive premium for a more visible Law school unless it is Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, or LSE.
Reasons to choose Glasgow LLM courses are given below -
- The Law School of the University of Glasgow is a Russell Group institution with strong global recognition
- Glasgow offers excellent educational quality at a much lower cost of living and tuition
- Indian Law firms care more about practical experience and internships rather than the Law degree is from Glasgow or Oxford.

The University of Glasgow LLM courses may be considered quite expensive and difficult without a scholarship.
If an Indian student goes for self-funding, it will require an investment of around INR 45 L to 55 L for tuition, visa and living expenses.
The students should search for scholarships like the World Changers Scholarships (applied to Indian nationals). This is an instant discount in tuition cost, which is GBP 5,000 (INR 6.38L).
