Louisiana State University – Shreveport has been ranked #95 in Regional Universities South and #47 in Top Public Schools by US News and World Report. The university is ranked at #901 - 950 by QS World University Ranking 2025 whereas the rankings in 2024 and 2023 were #801 - 850 and #801 - 1000. This means that the improvement graph of university has dropped negatively in 2025.

Yes, International students are required to get an F-1 student visa for Louisiana State University as it is situated in the USA. After getting the admission confirmation from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, the students must arrange all these documents with the VISA fee:

The application process at this University is done through the Common App for UG courses which is available on the University website. To apply for the Louisiana State University PG courses long through the LSU official portal. The mode of application is completely online for Indian students.

International students are expected two fill out an application online with application fee, and the UG application can be filled via the official website, the Common App and for PG courses at LSU, the students can apply via the LSU Graduate School Application Portal. A Louisiana State University application fee of USD 50 (INR 4,358.05) must also be submitted after filling the Louisiana State University application through the Common App portal. For LSU PG programs the application fee is USD 70 (INR 6,070).
